Team Soren (GoTeamSoren.org) is a group of friends and family of Soren Wysockey-Johnson, a beloved teen who died at the age of 15 in 2020.  Channeling his bright spirit, Team Soren is a 501c3 whose purpose is to create places of belonging and meaning, especially for young adults.  They do that primarily through an annual service trip to Costa Rica where they build two homes for families experiencing housing insecurity, in memory of Soren, who loved participating in a similar service trip just months before he died.  Also important during that trip is the time they spend connecting with each other and their Costa Rican friends, including the families for whom they are building homes.  It is a trip that fosters community and purpose, while helping them to remember Soren. 

Each house costs $10,000 to build and every year the group of 20 participate in various fundraiser events with a goal of $20,000, enough for two houses.  Funds are also used to provide financial support to young adults participating in the trip.  Since 2021, Team Soren has helped to build 12 homes!  The funds raised through the July 30th concert will help cover the building costs for their 2027 trip.

Please note: this is an outdoor event (rain or shine).  Please bring your own chair, blanket, sunscreen, bug spray, food and beverages.  There will be food and beer for purchase!  Doors open at 5:30pm. 

This concert is not just about raising money; it's about honoring Soren's memory through community, love and purpose.  With your support, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of the families who will be getting their new homes.
